Camino de Santiago. North Path. Dossier.

April 17th, 2010, posted in Hiking

I would like to share the report that I did to plan the travel from Ribadeo to Santiago de Compostela through the so call ‘north path’. The main features of the path step by step has been included in the report like Kms (1mile=1,6Km), hotels, youth hostels, places for eating and essential telephone numbers. The report is written in spanish but I think that it is easy to follow even if you don’t speak spanish. You can find the link to the report at the end of this post.

Yokogawa 1600 remote control

May 19th, 2009, posted in Instrumentación

Yesterday we were working with our measurement network in a large PV plant (over 9MW) and we found a suitable configuration to get the measurements from Yokogawa 1600. It´s a usefull method to connect one PC to Yokogawa without router or swich. It´s very insteresting besause the only way to make a stand alone link beetwin both it is via RS232 and GPIB (if it´s available). Nowadays the most of the PCs don´t have RS232 port, and of course GPIB. For this reason the method that I´m gonna explain, which doesn´t appear in yokogawa datasheet, is a great discovery.

To illustrate the network:

The trick is using a especial cable ethernet, a cross cable. This type of cable is used to connect two PC without router. To know how you can make one click here.
